Burraga First Nations Laguages App

A customisable language learning application that supports the learning and revitalisation of Aboriginal Languages.

The app gives Aboriginal Communities ownership of their language through control of the dictionary and game creation process and allows for educators to view students’ language learning progress.

My Input

I played a significant role in the scoping and design of the platform and also contributed in the development process.

I was the sole designer in this project and was responsible for everything from creating the design, coming up with body copy and design of the games and game builder template flow to communicate to the developers.

I also supported front-end development, managed developer tasks and application updates. I also engaged with stakeholders to guide educational content creation and delivery.

Goalhub Data Screens

Prototype UI for Educators in the Aboriginal space to monitor Personalised Learning Pathways and active Programs. The UI would be integrated into the existing front-facing section of the Goalhub Platform as a new feature.

This interface uses the NSW regions as outlined by the NSW AECG. The user can see the top level NSW data as well as being able to drill down into each region, each school, each student.

My Input

UI prototype for stakeholder demonstration extending existing design system with new interface additions that align with existing patterns and system.

Goalhub Admin

A web application that provides teachers and schools with tools to deliver student personalised learning, supported with a goal-based approach and transparent parental oversight.

My Input

Design of application admin area and icons, as well as contributions to enhancements and new features across various sections of the application. I also made some frontend development contributions.

NSW PSC Everyone’s Business

The Everyone’s Business project was a long-term project completed for the NSW Public Service Commission and comprised of a Cultural Learning Journey, a calendar of significant dates, a media toolkit and an eLearning course.

My Input

Designed Cultural Journey pages and collaborated with developers for Drupal and JavaScript implementation.

Assembled toolkit designs using provided assets and style guide. Built Everyone’s Business eLearning courses using Articulate 360, with ongoing testing, client communication, and iterative updates.

I distil the brief into core concepts that align with the organisation’s identity and values. I refine these into descriptive words that capture the intended message and feeling, then begin rough sketching on paper. I develop the strongest ideas and work collaboratively with stakeholders to shape the design until we reach a final product that truly resonates.
